What Is Nitrous Oxide Sedation?

Nitrous oxide is a combination of oxygen and nitrous oxide gas, delivered through a small mask placed over your child’s nose. This allows your child to relax while remaining fully awake and responsive.

How Does Nitrous Oxide Work?
Nitrous oxide works quickly and gently to help your child feel calm during treatment.
- Your child will remain fully conscious
- Natural reflexes are maintained
- The gas is mild, non-addictive, and easily eliminated through normal breathing
- Effects wear off quickly after the procedure
Once the appointment is complete, your child can return to normal daily activities.
What Does Nitrous Oxide Feel Like?
